About the Role
CIE British School – Global Colleges is seeking a qualified and passionate IT Professor to join our Higher Education faculty.
As an IT Professor, you will play a vital role in preparing students for careers in the ever-evolving field of information technology. Beyond classroom instruction, you will mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, integrate emerging technologies into teaching, and help strengthen CIE’s commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical learning experiences in Information Technology and related disciplines.
- Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, presentations, and continuous evaluation.
- Supervise student research, capstone projects, and thesis work.
- Integrate current industry practices and emerging technologies into course content.
- Develop partnerships with industry stakeholders to support internships and employment opportunities.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate academic records and comply with institutional policies.
- Mentor students through academic advising and consultation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, institutional activities, and research initiatives.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following:
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Cisco Certification (e.g., CCNA or CCNP) or a TESDA National Certificate (NC).
- At least two (2) years of teaching experience in Higher Education, preferably handling Information Technology or Computer Science subjects.
- Industry experience in software development, networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, database management, cloud computing, or related fields is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational technology tools, and virtual teaching platforms.
- Experience in developing laboratory activities and hands-on learning experiences is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
